Diana Benzakour brings her culinary skills to the kitchen; having grown up and being
exposed to the restaurant business. Her
grandparents opened their first Vietnamese restaurant in St. Paul, MN in
1985. Her parents followed
with their own restaurant in St. Paul, MN near the state capitol in 1991.
Diana was constantly surrounded by good cooks in her
family-grandmother, mother, and aunts. She went on to study Dental Hygiene at the University of
Minnesota and graduated in 1991. She
has been actively practicing dental hygiene for the past 13 years but
feels the strong pull of the restaurant business like the rest of her
family. Her passion is
cooking, baking, and creating food items.
She has many resources to turn to for guidance and advice.
Her dream was to open her own Asian restaurant."

Chakib Benzakour immigrated to Boston,
MA in 1987. Not speaking a
word of English, he started to work in the kitchen of Au Bon Pain, where he quickly moved up the ladder within 6 months, from
cashier to lead baker and assistant manager.
While working at Au Bon Pain, Chakib attended Wentworth Institute
of Technology where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Electronics and
Computer Technology. He then
worked as a Sales Application Engineer for the motion and control
industry from 1995 to 2003 at Electro Sales, Inc. where he also headed
the Management Information Systems department. His expertise in computer engineer allowed him to design the
restaurant website as well as implementing a well received
on-line ordering system. His
other skills also include fluency in not only English, but French and
Spanish as well.
